I LOVE HIM
Frank's side of the story:
My name is Frank, a graduate of the Federal University of
Technology Owerri. I hail from Ikeduru LGA in IMO State. When I was in
school, I thought that once I left school that life would be friendlier and
less stressful than what I experienced in school. I thought that I would get
myself a good job within a short time, but all my efforts were to no avail. I
studied computer Science in School and I was very good in programming, web
design, networking etc. I have spent the past two years of my life writing a
program that I believed will see me through life someday. You know, most at
times life tends to be too harsh on a cool guy. But irrespective of such life
challenges, man has got to be strong. I had a small shop where I run a computer
clinic by the name "Franko Computer Clinic", although that wasn’t the
kind of life I had wanted, I was determined to make every little effort count.
I wasn’t cool with ladies because it seemed like none of them wanted me even
though I was handsome, tall, chocolate skinned and the only thing I lacked
was enough cash to be called rich. But I was hoping that one day, I would find
that one person that will see something good in me. I had a very close friend
by the name Mike who was my very good friend, with a height and dark in
complexion, he is cute and like myself, he had nothing good doing. I had to
give Mike a space to stay in my shop and run his computer repair business since
he did technical apprenticeship. But there was something I had in difference
with Mike. He was the woman type of person that doesn’t allow anything on skirt
to walk past him. I gave up on talking to him on that issue because all my
previous efforts had no effect on him.
However, Mike and I were like two captains in a ship, right in my
shop. He does the technical work, while I do the software aspect of the job. We
were so good that people from far and near came to patronize us.
On this faithful Friday, I wasn’t in the shop. I had gone home to
meet with the EEDC agents that came to my area in order to pay our bill since I
was the general collector in the house I lived. Yes, I lived in a “face me, I
face you apartment” and due to my educational background, I had some
responsibilities on my shoulder. While at home, I received a call from Mike
that a fine young Lady was waiting for me in the shop. I told him that I had to
finish up with what I had gone to do at home and that lady should either wait
for me or come back later. I wasted much time before I was able to go back
to the office. By the time I got to the office, the young lady was still
waiting. I was cork sure that Mike was the reason why the girl stayed that
long. When I got there, the lady was already losing her patience. I greeted her
with a smile and asked Mike to get her some snacks from a shop outside of which
she refused to take. Thank Goodness, I didn't even have enough cash with me.
Mike’s side of the story
I have known Frank since his second year in FUTO. I met him in a
seminar organized by "Spicy Tech" in Owerri. He is a very intelligent,
passionate and focused person. Very determined to break through. Well, that’s
all I can say about him for now. I was busy with my phone, checking out the
champions League played during the mid-week, when a sumptuous looking young
lady in her early 20s walked into the office. Wow! I wasn’t able to keep my
eyes off her. She was much more than beautiful. She is average, light skinned,
she had this appearance that can make you go crazy. I welcomed her and gave her
a seat to sit down. I tried being a gentleman and asked her what she would like
to take and she told me she was very fine. Hmmmm! To be truthful I was so
tensed because her beauty almost got me licking her body I swear. I was still
trying to pry on her with my words when she cut me short and told me she had
come to fix her faulty system. Unfortunately for me, it wasn’t a hardware
fault. I had to call Frank at once to come and attend to her. I tried to
convince her that we are professionals and that the software specialist(Frank)
would be here soon. So, we waited and waited for Frank to show up but all to no
avail. Meanwhile, while we were waiting, I had to see what I can do to this
priceless jewel which seemed out of reach because her clothes and jeweleries
were speaking very much on her status. She looked like a Senator's wife.
Although she looked familiar, but I wasn't too sure of where I had met her or
if I had seen her before. "This one is worth dying for", I said to
myself. I asked what her name was and she told me that her name was Cynthia.
“Wow that is a very nice name and if I should marry you, I will make sure that
our daughter bears that name”. I was looking at her face to see what impression
she would give to that. But trust ladies, they can form very well. She only
smiled and that one pained me so well. But I had to relax and I kept on trying.
I asked her where she hails from and she told me she is from Orlu in Imo State.
I pretended that I know the place and told her that I have been there once.
Once again, she smiled. “Ahh! Which kind girl be this nah? U chop witch or nah
witch chop you!”. I kept on asking her questions of which she answered, but
never cared to know anything about me. Truly speaking, the moment I spent with
her in the shop was like an interview where you are only meant to smile at
comments and answer questions without even asking the interviewer any question
at all. This girl is really proving tough. After wasting so much time in our
shop, she got annoyed and decided to go but I begged her to stay and after much
ado, she decided to wait a little longer and in order to hit the target while
it was still in plain sight, I started another series of question tag because a
hunter doesn’t leave the forest until the antelope that is within reach has
been killed. I tried all I could to make her stay so as to see if I could get
some more chance. I must make this catch, I swear!!! To be continued....
